Compostable Party?

We hosted a casual outdoor celebration this past weekend.  As much as possible, we rent or use our in-house plates, cutlery, and glassware.   

When we can't, we choose certified compostable + biodegradable.  Plates, bowls, cups, cutlery, and unbleached napkins were [shockingly] found at the local Dollar Store, but we've seen them also at major grocery stores too.  The cost is similar to other other disposable party supplies, and the benefit of composting your party after feels pretty good.  

Our municipality offers a bi-weekly compost pickup. Bonus- once a year, we can fill up the back of our pick-up truck with municipal garden compost from our food and garden waste.  It is well-timed to feed our vegetable garden.
